Imagine a doll which looks, feels and seems like a real baby. These dolls exist, they’re Reborn dolls ! Now they're also called fake babies.

Reborning started in 2000, in USA, but is still in his early beginnings in France. It aims to turn play dolls or collectable dolls into hyper-realistic baby dolls. You’ll find more information about the different steps in reborning on the “process” page.

I'm Viridiana Ferrière, a professionnal doll artist. Since 2004, I created this dolls for collectors. I discovered them on Ebay and since this day, I'm totally hooked. As I live in France, it was more difficult to learn but I made it by myself month after month. I was the only one making reborn doll in France at this time.

The international reborning's community is so amazing that I promise myself to make everything I can to help french people to make a part of it. I totally involved myself in this world, joining people, taking part to doll exhibitions and contests, teaching also.
Today, it become real ! French reborn community is growing fast and finally french medias introduce this art to a large audience.

Reborns

Each of my babies is truly unique and hand-signed, they're high quality artist’s collector's dolls.
I try to improve my skills with each new doll I create and I spend hours and hours making them as realistic as possible.
I work as long as needed to recreate pores, capillaries, veins and skin tones. I pay a great deal of attention to proportions, details and realism.

The best supplies available are used, I spare no expense to bring you fine quality and long lasting dolls.
The paints are permanent, the hair is made form the best kid mohair (imported from Canada).

You can cuddle my babies as they feel just like real babies. Head, body and limbs are weighted with fine glass beads, you can't feel any hard piece. ViridianaDoll Babies are cuddle just like a real newborn.
When you adopt one of my baby, you received the doll with her complete layette, her little toy, her COA (certificate of authenticity)and an invoice for insurance.

Sculptures




I always love sculpture, I began to sculpt baby dolls at the same time as I began reborning. Trying to capture the living essence of a baby is a frilly and fascinating task.

I took part in RDK then Secrist sculpture contest. I won Secrist contest and I'm know working with Pat Secrist on prototype which will be edited in kits.
